# ParrotPal Group

> The first platform built around a real-time muscle-protection score. Consumer apps ParrotPal and Turtle Method (1,000,000+ users across brands, 4.7 stars on the App Store) feed LeanShield™, a patent-pending 1–100 muscle-safety score for the GLP-1 weight-loss era. Built in scientific collaboration with Professor Nick Wareham, Director of the Cambridge Institute of Metabolic Science; a randomised controlled trial measured by DXA body scanning is in design with the University of Cambridge. Founded by Welshman Scott Flear; based in London and Cambridge.

Key facts: up to 40% of weight lost on GLP-1 medication can be lean mass (peer-reviewed range 15–40%, roughly a quarter in meta-analyses; lean mass includes muscle, organ and connective tissue). LeanShield scores members 1–100 (bands: Protected, Caution, At-Risk), nudges protein, strength sessions and safe pace, and prescribes workouts automatically to raise the score. The clinical trial is in design — never describe it as underway or completed. LeanShield is patent-pending, not patented.
